A recent addition to our large valve shop in Deer Park Texas. Large VTL to bore ends for large valves up to 42”. With the need to install pipe pups on most weld end valves, machining the ends to match the pipe is necessary to insure proper welding procedures can be followed. When pipe pups are welded to the valves all welds are x-rayed to insure full weld penetration and completion. QTR now can maintain the quality of its machining and welding by being able to do all of this in-house.

A Visit to Our Manufacturing Partner, Valvitalia
A recent visit to the Valvitalia Factory in Italy. While taking customers from a major Natural Gas Transportation company to visit the manufacturing facility in Rivanazzano, the tour included the final assembly area for testing and inspection of valve assemblies.
Use Coated Valves for Buried Service
A recent order for a large Natural Gas Utility for 8” Trunnion Mounted Ball Valves with Pinion Shaft Extensions and watertight gears for buried service. This type of valve assembly is most commonly in the downstream market or distribution of natural gas to the end user. These valves are coated for buried service to reduce corrosion and insure long life of the valve assembly. They can be operated by a wrench for ease of operation.
